Projects & Sessions

Create and manage projects, schedule sessions, and track active work.

Projects are the core unit of work in Amplyr. Every client engagement lives inside a project — sessions, tracks, files, approvals, contracts, and invoices. If it's happening in your studio, it's happening inside a project.

Creating a project

Go to Projects → New Project

What to set up:

  • Project name
  • Assign a client
  • Assign an engineer
  • Add sessions if you're ready

A draft invoice is automatically created when you create a project. You'll find it under Invoicing when you're ready to build it out.

Sessions

Sessions are the scheduled blocks of work inside a project. Add them as you plan the recording schedule.

What to include:

  • Session date and time
  • Duration
  • Room assignment
  • Engineer assignment
  • Session notes

Sessions feed directly into your scheduling and give both your team and your client visibility into the recording plan.

Project status

Projects move through statuses as work progresses:

Active Work in progress
Pending Approval Tracks submitted, awaiting client sign-off
Delivered Files delivered to client
Complete Project closed, invoice paid
Archived Retained in records, not counted against tier limits

Archiving a project

Completed projects can be archived to keep your active project list clean. Archived projects retain their full history — sessions, tracks, files, invoices, and communications. They don't count against your tier limits.

Go to Projects → select project → Archive Project
